Last few months have been the busiest time of my life. Renovating my house, planning and executing the work was one of the toughest things I have experienced.
As I was handling it all on my own, the attitude of the contrator and workers was the worst thing I came across. They hardly have any respect for a woman and the attitude is we can bully you easily. Thanks to internet, I cross checked a few sites on what I wanted and how to go about it. Finally got the work done, though had to change few contractors for their arrogance.
One thing I learned life is not easy, you have to be tough, rude sometimes to get the work done or people take you for a ride. Men think that if a women is getting some work done alone they can cheat easily. But it was a life time experience, managed to get the work from them.
Why do people have to always think of cheating rather than deliver the work they are asked to do, after all they are getting paid for that work.
Cheating, corruption, bribery has become part of most peoples life today. One has to put up a fight every-time, everywhere to get anything done. Things are going from bad to worst. Guess that's why its called Kalyug.
Today one man is putting up fight by 'fasting unto death' against corruption. Many people from different States have come forward to support him. But the fact is the fight is not just against those corrupt leaders, it is against CORRUPTION and many among those supporters are the reason why corruption has reached this level.
One doesn't have to go on the street to show their support for the cause, they can just stop bribing, taking bribe or cheating others.
Paying huge cash donations in school, or bribing the police when breaking law, or taking cuts under table on work contracts so many ways of looting. One has to just say no, not any more, that will be the biggest support for the cause. We know Anna Hazare is a clean man with a good intention but is every body else who is supporting with the same conscious?
We all should be a part of this cause, but at the same time ensure we are not on the wrong side of the fence, doing things what he is fighting for.
