Life ? did we miss something ?

hi,

for a long time now I haven't written anything, didn't feel like,
days and nights pass by, nothing stops, life goes on

last year this time I was enjoying the rains, not much rain this year , still waiting for thunder showers........

life around me....... people are living life like a machine, busy earning and spending money,

the older generation's spends life working :

works hard, saves money
takes loan, buys a house,

when they have children .......
feel the need to save more, for children's education

later,....when children complete education.are still worried...
for child's needs, to get a good job
as the cost of living is high
feel the need for another house
so their children can stay with their family.......

funny isn't it ...............

Once the children are independent the first thought that comes to their mind is 'wish my parents were rich', forgetting the sacrifices seen to educate them to be what they are today.

Parents get so lost in their duties that they forget to live their lives, by the time they realise, its too late,

the next generation's life ......... is going to malls with children, shopping, partying...... or spending 18 hrs working on a laptop ... surfing, chatting with [strangers].  These parents blame their kids and switch off their tv while they glue themselves to laptops or mobiles and they all want to stay young, using artificial products......

what did all miss ? to enjoy Nature - long walks or watch children play

if only we learned to value life :)  "LIFE"

the only time people watch some game is on tv.  what happened to watching kids play and cheering them?

Blame it on.........?

For sometime now I have been observing.... ?

Children on streets .... in Mumbai as you travel around you see lot of children on streets, from 6 yrs onwards, fending for themselves sometimes cleaning the trains, begging on signals, selling articles in trains or just wandering around on streets.  Who are these children, did they just drop from sky, where are their parents or relatives, why are the children abandoned or struggling on their own ?

Just last month few volunteers came to collect donations representing a NGO, they said the money would go for rehabilitating the street kids, teaching them candle making, paper bags or some non-hazardous occupation.  As they need to fend for themselves or their family who depends on their income.

Is it really rehabilitation ?  are children below 14 yrs suppose to support or fend for themselves financially,  Does rehabilitating mean working in non-hazardous occupation?  Do we expect the same from children of well to-do families.

Who is to blame, the parents who don't hesitate giving birth to number of kids while they cannot have 2 full meals, and look forward to the child as means of financial support, or the people who don't hesitate donating money to these kids directly or indirectly as help.

Today there are equal number of people living on streets as in the buildings around. Mumbai is now a mini India where the trains, buses, markets, malls, roads, footpaths are overcrowded by sea of people.

how the city runs is a miracle, yes, people survive here, but at whose cost.... "a childhood lost"  Who is to be blamed ??

Isn't rehabilitation giving children a safe and sound environment, where they play, study and enjoy life without worrying.
